Ki-51 'Sonya'

The Mitsubishi Type 99 Assaulter/Tactical Reconnaissancer Ki-51, allied codename "Sonya" was the Japanese Army's mainline divebomber in the thirties. Outmatched by outdated figthers like the Wildcat, she was replaced soon thereafter by the Val divebomber. Sonya did see some combat, but mostly in lesser fronts like China, Thailand, and the Phillipines. If the Japanese had air superiority, the Sonya was out and about.
