An Avro Vulcan nurses in mid-air from a Handley-Page Victor on its way to the Falklands conflict in 1982. The Victor was planned to be a V-bomber like the Vulcan, capable of carrying Britain's nuclear arsenal, but with the waning of the Cold War the Victor was relegated to tanker duties.
